Magical Story Creation

Written by people you can trust.

Kidbox features original stories from counselors, therapists, teachers, and parents like you. Your kids are in good hands.

The learning arcade.

We’ve created a library of games that reinforce the books your kids read, and help them become a better reader.

Story creation built for kids.

We designed a kid-safe, fun way for kids to unlock their imagination and create stories of their own!

Kids choose elements they want in their story

The story machine brings their ideas to life!

We needed this before we built it.

Between the three of us we have five kids, and we have all handed over a tablet at 6pm and felt bad about it. Kidbox is the version we wanted: quiet for you, worthwhile for them, and honest about what it is.

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

What ages is Kidbox for?

Two to eight. The youngest kids listen and watch, the middle group follows highlighted words, and the oldest read on their own and play the skill games.

Is this just more screen time?

It is screen time, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The difference is what is on the screen: finite stories with a beginning and an end, no autoplay feed, no ads, and no recommendation engine pulling for another twenty minutes. Plus, every story can be ordered as a real printed book — for reading with no screen at all.

What do you do with my child's data?

Reading activity stays inside your family's account and powers your parent view. We do not sell it, we do not use it for third-party advertising or retargeting, and creators only ever see aggregate totals for their own stories.

Can my kid really make a story?

Yes, in a creation experience built for kids and separate from the parent one. Anything a child makes is private to your family by default, and you decide whether it goes anywhere else.

What happens after the 3 free stories?

Nothing disappears and nothing auto-charges. You will see the Family plan when you reach the end of the free reads, and you can decide then.

Who can publish on Kidbox Studio?

Anyone with a story worth telling, whether that is a therapist, a teacher, a grandparent, or a first-time writer. Every story is reviewed before it reaches the family app.

Your break starts tonight.

Kidbox Studio: out of your head, and on to the page.

We built Kidbox Studio for everyone who’s ever thought "I’ve got an idea for a children’s story!". It used to take months (or years) to write a story. Now it takes hours. It’s time to get that idea out of your head and into the world.
