Kidbox Content Policy
Last Updated: April 28, 2026
1. Purpose
Kidbox is a children's storytelling platform. This Content Policy defines what content users may create, share, and generate on Kidbox, and what is prohibited. It applies to all User Content — including AI-generated text, images, audio, and video — and supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
By using Kidbox, you agree to follow this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or account termination at Kidbox's sole discretion.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Content created or uploaded by users (text, images, character likenesses, photos, audio recordings)
- Content generated by Kidbox's AI tools at user direction (story text, illustrations, narration, video)
- Public-facing content (shared stories, profile information, comments)
- Private content stored on Kidbox (drafts, unpublished projects)
3. Audience and Tone
Kidbox is built for young children and families. All content on the platform — whether created by users or generated by AI — must be appropriate for children. The platform is not for adult content, mature themes, or content that targets adults to the exclusion of children.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not create, upload, or generate content that:
Endangers or Sexualizes Minors
- Depicts minors (real or fictional) in sexual, suggestive, or romantic contexts
- Sexualizes children's bodies, clothing, or behavior in any way
- Depicts minors in states of undress beyond what is age-appropriate
- Depicts grooming, exploitation, or any sexualized interaction involving minors
- Generates photorealistic depictions of real or fictional children that could be mistaken for real photographs of real children
Depicts Violence or Harm to Children
- Shows children being harmed, abused, killed, or in graphic distress
- Depicts self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or related themes
- Depicts torture, mutilation, gore, or graphic injury
- Promotes violence, weapons use, or harmful behaviors aimed at children
Promotes Hatred or Discrimination
- Targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Promotes hate speech, slurs, or dehumanizing language
- Glorifies hate groups, terrorism, or extremist ideologies
Is Illegal or Promotes Illegal Activity
- Promotes drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping, gambling, or other age-restricted activities
- Depicts or instructs on illegal activities (theft, fraud, hacking, weapons manufacturing)
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
Infringes Rights or Privacy
- Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property
- Discloses personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, schools) of children, including the user's own child, beyond what Kidbox account fields require
- Uses likenesses of real people, especially children, without permission from the person or their legal guardian
- Reveals confidential or proprietary information
Is Otherwise Inappropriate
- Profanity, vulgar language, crude humor, or content unsuitable for children
- Sexual content of any kind, even between adult characters
- Content designed to disturb, frighten, or psychologically distress children
- Spam, advertising, chain messages, or unsolicited promotional content
- Misinformation presented as fact (medical, scientific, historical)
- Malicious code, viruses, or content designed to disrupt the platform
5. AI-Generated Content
Kidbox uses AI to help users create stories, illustrations, narration, and video. The following rules apply specifically to AI-generated content.
Prompt Rules
- Users do not write raw prompts to underlying AI models. All AI generation flows through Kidbox's structured input UI, which transforms user inputs into sanitized, templated prompts.
- Attempts to circumvent prompt safeguards (jailbreaking, prompt injection, exploiting input fields to bypass filters) are prohibited and may result in account termination.
Output Rules
- AI-generated children appear only in benign storybook contexts: playing, learning, exploring, going on adventures. Never in scenarios involving harm, suggestive content, or psychological distress.
- AI-generated images and videos use a stylized, illustrated aesthetic. Photorealistic depictions of children are not permitted as outputs.
- AI-generated narration and dialogue must remain age-appropriate.
Real-Person Likenesses
- Users may create characters based on photographs of themselves or their own children with parental consent.
- Users may not create characters based on photographs or likenesses of other real people — including other children, celebrities, public figures, or anyone the user does not have explicit permission to depict — without verifiable consent.
- Likenesses of real children may be removed at any time at the request of the child's parent or legal guardian, in accordance with Section 8 of the Terms of Service and applicable law (including COPPA).
6. Enforcement
Moderation
- Kidbox uses automated safety filters at the prompt and output layers to prevent generation of prohibited content.
- Kidbox reserves the right to review, screen, edit, or remove any User Content at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
- Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or termination.
Reporting
If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it to support@kidbox.com. Include a link or description of the content and the nature of the violation. We review reports promptly.
Illegal Content
Kidbox cooperates with law enforcement. Content that depicts or facilitates illegal activity — particularly content involving the exploitation of minors — will be reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where required by law.
7. Updates
We may update this Content Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of Kidbox after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
